DRIZZLE STARTING
Storms at rest
Drizzle is cool
Doesn’t stop much
Rain temps down the waves
Drizzle makes them
Wetter if anything
Good for the lawn and trees
Soaks in
I notice the drips coming
From the trees and lamps
Where are they when it rains
Drip drip not drip drip
Almost at random
At their own time
No hurry with drizzle
Think I’ll go shopping
Save the sunny days
For something else
Outside stuff
Things slow down
To a noticeable pace
Quieter muffled sounds
Cars passing on the streets
Ssssssss ssssssss
In slow motion
Trance cars drivers motionless
Birds just sit
Mostly out of sight
Everything waits
Cats are restless
No sun to pin them down
My thoughts slow
I turn pensive inward
Time to think
Hear sounds the House makes
Do smaller tasks
It clears almost
Then starts to drizzle
Again
