THE WEATHER
Here it is right in front of me
Possibly the best example of all time
There are ideas and there is proof
Ideas are slippery always
An exception to the rules
And breaking the rules is where
All the fun is anyhow
Difficult to convince anyone
Your metaphysics or regime
Is better than theirs with all
The exceptions beating up on poor proof
But I feel better because of it
Rationalizations galore here
It works for me
So what’s the big deal
The future
We can’t seem to get this right
We believe we have control
Some control any control
We have none yet with our
Moveable consciousness
We have the ability to
Perceive the future
Predict in weather terms
Plan down to the minute
And are we disappointed
When things don’t work out as planned
No we round up or round down
Even the excuse haters like me
Come up with the best
Flat tire reasons why nothing
As in absolutely nothing
Works out the way we planned
It may be close but we always
Round the edges make adjustments
Open the umbrella we took along just in case
We control this second right now
And that’s it it’s the place to be
The only thing that exists
Now about the past
